Lighthouse Agogo, Soi Cowboy, Bangkok
Lighthouse Agogo Review - What to Expect
Lighthouse Agogo in Soi Cowboy, Bangkok is one of the larger Agogos in this world-famous adult entertainment area of Bangkok. We couldn't confirm, as part of researching this review, whether they’re affiliated with the Agogo in Walking Street, Pattaya that goes by the same name and branding.
Set over two levels, the interior of the Lighthouse Agogo in Soi Cowboy is very impressive. Downstairs you'll find the usual Thailand Agogo setup with a central pole-dancing stage that can accommodate between 15 and 20 dancers and tiered bench style seating around the walls. The lighting is pink and blue neon which adds to the naughty, fun-filled atmosphere.
There is also an upstairs area that has more of a VIP Lounge feel about it with its glass floor/ceiling and more comfortable seating although it doesn't seem to be open all that often - it has certainly never been open on the occasional visits we’ve paid to the Lighthouse Agogo in Soi Cowboy over the last few years. They do however advertise that their upstairs area can be hired for private parties, stag events and so on.
The girls at the Lighthouse in Bangkok have always appeared to be friendly and up for fun. Our opinion is that, while real stunners are few and far between in the Lighthouse Bangkok, they do have an impressive line-up and the interactive, ’up-for-fun’ and friendly attitude of the girls is far more of a plus than having an Agogo full of stunners that don’t want to ’play’ with the average customer.
Bar fines at the Lighthouse Agogo in Soi Cowboy range between 600 baht and 1,200 baht depending on the girl you choose so it’s best to check with either the girl or the management if you are interested in taking one of the girls outside of the Agogo.
Soi Cowboy, like all adult entertainment areas in Thailand, isn’t a cheap night out but when it comes to drink prices, the Lighthouse Agogo offers some of the most competitive pricing on the soi and when coupled with their daily happy hours and all night drink promotions you’ll struggle to find better value.
We don't quote prices in our reviews as things change over time but you can check out the Lighthouse Agogo’s Facebook page for all their latest offers.
The Lighthouse Agogo in Soi Cowboy has a large outside area which opens around 5 pm while the main Agogo opens a little later at 7.30 pm daily.
The crowd in this Agogo seems to be comprised mainly of expats and that tends to give the place a more laid-back, ‘local watering hole’ kind of feel. Not sure whether that’s a good or bad thing - opinions seem to vary.
Is the Lighthouse Agogo in Soi Cowboy, Bangkok worth a visit? We would say that it certainly is, it doesn't offer the more ‘hands-on’ experience you'll find at the likes of The Dollhouse nor do they have the seemingly endless line-up of the likes of Cowboy 2 or Baccara but they can offer you a fun, reasonably priced night out filled with adult fun so they’re well worth a visit.
