Metro Apartments & Sports Bar, LK Metro, Pattaya
Metro Apartments and Sports Bar Review - What to Expect
Metro Apartments in Soi LK Metro, Pattaya was the first guesthouse in Pattaya I ever stayed in and it’s great to see them still going strong after all these years!
Situated about halfway down Soi LK Metro (opposite Destiny Agogo), Metro Apartments have something a little different going on. The bar is a closed air-conditioned sports-themed bar, which attracts mostly long-term Pattaya visitors and expats.
If you’re partial to keeping up with your favourite sports while staying in Pattaya then you’ll be hard pushed to find a better venue. The bar boasts eight HD TV screens that screen all the major sporting events and if they haven’t got the game or event you’d like to watch currently showing all you have to do is ask the friendly staff and they’ll accommodate your request if they can.
For pool lovers, there are also a few good quality pool tables and to ensure that you have a great night whatever you’re up to Metro Apartments have a great selection of beers, ciders, alcopops, wines, and spirits.
Owned and run by an expat Irishman and his Thai wife, Metro Apartments stand out from the crowd because of the attention to detail they provide to their customers, not to mention the laid-back, very friendly welcome you’ll get from the staff.
If you’re looking for affordable, clean, no-hassle accommodation that is in the middle of the ‘action’ then Metro Apartments is a great choice but you’ll need to book early because they almost always seem to be fully booked.
When you book a room at Metro Apartments you will get a good sized room with a balcony and a bathroom with a shower. The beds, in my experience, are kingsize and come with good quality linen.
The rooms all have well-maintained furnishings, come with air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and fast WiFi.
There are also complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, cable TV, and a DVD player in each room.
For the security conscious traveller, your room will have an electronic safe that is large enough to fit a small notebook or laptop.
Rooms at Metro Apartments in Soi LK Metro cost between 900 and 1000 baht per night depending on when you book and they operate a ‘guest friendly’ policy so do not charge ‘joiner fees’.
If you are interested in room availability at Metro Apartments then you can contact them directly or book via Agoda or Booking.com.
In conclusion, Metro Apartments are a very well run sports bar and guesthouse which we would highly recommend. It isn’t hard to see why they have been in business successfully for so many years now and always seem busy.
