Red Sky Bar, Rama I Road, Bangkok
Red Sky Bar Review - What to Expect
Red Sky Bar is right in the middle of Bangkok’s Central Shopping district so what better way to end a shopping spree at Central World or Siam Paragon than with a few drinks on the 55th floor of Centara Grand Hotel while you enjoy the jaw dropping, 360-degree views over Bangkok and their live jazz band?
Red Sky Bar, Bangkok offers what can only be described as awe-inspiring views over the Bangkok skyline. While Sky Bar at lebua remains the most internationally famous and Octave on top of the Marriot is arguably one of the coolest new kids in this arena, Red Sky Bar on top of the Centara Grand Hotel in Siam with it's amazing skyline views, convenient location and relaxed atmosphere is seriously not to be missed.
Drinks start at around 350 baht and they have a buy one get one free deal during happy hour which is from 4pm to 6pm daily and means that you will end up paying less during Red Sky Bar's happy hour than you would at some of the other chic rooftop bars in Bangkok. There's also an extensive and impressive international wine list, a choice of excellent cocktails, and an internationally focused menu for those interested in a having dinner too.
Red Sky Bar is dominated by a great glowing arch that frames the city beyond, changing colour throughout the evening or, if you visit them before the sun goes down, then you can get a bird's eye view of the nearby Grand Palace and the temples of Rattanakosin Island.
In summary the atmosphere at Red Sky Bar is “hi-so” urban chic, the drinks, food and service are well above average and the views are incredible - it is well worth a visit next time you're in Bangkok and looking to take in the skyline of this amazing, bustling city.
