Maggie Choo's Review - What to Expect
Maggie Choo’s is inspired the Shanghai cabaret owner who left her hometown in 1931 following the Japanese invasion. It offers something a little different which we can only describe as a bar-come-restaurant-come-cabaret-come-night club.
Situated beneath the Novotel Bangkok Fenix Silom, this decadently decorated venue, with its luxurious leather couches, Chinese paper umbrellas, oil paintings, private rooms and two-way mirrors, serves Cantonese food which you can wash down with some delicious cocktails, a mixer or a beer from the bar while you enjoy the cabaret, live music, jazz funk, blues or house music - depending on the night you visit them.
We learned we visited recently that, like many of the bars and clubs in Bangkok, it takes a little while to get warmed up so we wouldn’t suggest arriving much before 8.30pm but if you like something a little different then Maggie Choo’s is something a little special special - we went to have a few quick drinks so we could feature them on RedEyeThai but ended up staying till quite late in the evening. Maggie Choo’s has an interesting ambience and offering that we have not experienced anywhere else in the Bangkok before - it's quirky uniqueness was refreshingly fun!
We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending a night out at Maggie Choo’s - especially if you are excited by something a little different. You can find more details as well as recent customer reviews about Maggie Choo’s the links above.
