Motor Expo To Proceed Conservatively This Year
Mr. Kwanchai Pat Pong, Chairman of the 33rd Motor Expo, today announced that this year’s Moto Expo will proceed as planned at the IMPACT Challenger between the 1st and 12th December. Motor Expo is known for its display of shiny vehicles and sexy PR models that dance, pose and preen to help generate interest and sales. However, the popular event will be toned down this year and the PR models, known as pretties, have been told to cover up. More specifically, they are not allowed to wear shorts and their skirts must be below the knee this year.
The Motor Expo Chairman also asked exhibitors to show consideration and appropriateness in the wake of the Late King’s passing by not hosting their usual array of dance shows to load music in their display booths in acknowledgement that Thailand is still in it’s year long mourning period for His Royal Majesty, the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The event which is expecting an audience of 1.3 million people over the 12 days is expected to generate 50 billion baht in revenue with sales of 50,000 cars and 4,000 motorcycles. There will also be at least three new car launches as well as numerous concept cars on display. More details about Moto Expo 2016 can be found on their website - http://bit.ly/2enwKDC
